The AK-105 is a new carbine designed to replace the AKS-74u in service today in the Russian Army and is schedualed to do so on a 1 for 1 basis. The AK-105 fires standard 5.45x39mm cartrige and uses the standard 30 round AK-74 compatable magazines as well as other 5.45 Russian AK magazines.

The AK-105 features new Polymier plastic in place of its wood parts as well as a side rail for optics. Improved muzzel hider and gas block to allow shorter barrel.
